The National Apprentice and Trainee Experience and Destinations Survey (ATED) is now underway.
We are asking former apprentices and trainees to spare around 10-15 minutes to complete the survey if they are contacted by Ipsos, the fieldwork contractor. Everyone invited to take part in the survey will be sent a link to the online survey, or can choose to do the survey over the phone. Those who completed the survey before midnight Sunday 16th June were entered into five fortnightly prize draws to win a share of $2,500 in pre-paid Eftpos gift cards in each draw. Those who complete in the following fortnight will be entered into 4 prize draws, and then the following fortnight – three prize draws, and so on until the total prize pool of $12,500 is awarded. The survey closes in late August 2019.

Why should I complete the survey?
The survey collects information on employment outcomes, reasons for non-completion, satisfaction with training, further study destinations, and on-the-job experiences of apprentices and trainees who completed or left their training in 2018. Managed by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER), the results of the survey will inform policy makers of the issues faced by apprentices and trainees so that improvements can be made.
Findings from the 2019 Apprentice and Trainee Experience and Destinations Survey will be available at www.ncver.edu.au in late 2019.
